Ruby's Place dba Restorative Pathways (RP) is an innovative nonprofit committed to ending domestic violence, human trafficking, and violent crime through hope, advocacy and connection. Our services include emergency shelter, transitional housing, rental subsidies, mental health services, substance recovery, and wrap-around services. All our services are trauma-sensitive and client-centered and are provided at no cost to our clients. All programs are low barrier.

What qualifications are required for this position?
You Are Also:
Bachelor’s degree in human services, communications, nonprofit management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
Minimum of two to three years of experience coordinating volunteers, programs, or community services.
Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups including staff, volunteers, and community partners.
Experience working in homelessness services, shelters, or community-based programs.
Experience planning workshops, events, or service delivery coordination.
In possession of a valid CA driver's license, proof of insurance, and be approved by RP insurance as a driver in order to drive agency vehicles. If a staff member cannot be approved by RP insurance as a driver, employment might not be able to continue. Instances where staff cannot be approved to drive will be reviewed on a case by case basis to determine if employment can continue in their role without driving agency vehicles. Items considered include but are not limited to: the shift the staff member holds and the frequency/necessity of driving during that shift, the amount of time before the staff member may be approved to drive by the insurance carrier, the availability of other staff on site to drive agency vehicles as program needs require, etc.
Able to complete all required background checks. Additional requirements may be deemed necessary, including fingerprinting (Live Scan), completion of all Community Care Licensing (CCL) documents, and ability to meet CCL licensing requirements.
What You Will Do
The Volunteer and Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating on-site services delivered by community partners and managing the organization’s volunteer program. This role ensures that external services, workshops, and resources are effectively integrated into program operations and that volunteers are recruited, trained, and supported to contribute meaningfully to the organization’s mission.
The Volunteer and Services Coordinator serves as a key bridge between the organization, community partners, and volunteers, ensuring services are well-organized, aligned with participant needs, and delivered in a structured and respectful environment. This position plays an important role in enhancing program capacity by leveraging community resources and engagement.
Responsibilities include
Volunteer Program Coordination
Recruit, onboard, and support volunteers across program sites.
Coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments to align with program needs.
Provide orientation and training to ensure volunteers understand program expectations, boundaries, and roles.
Maintain regular communication with volunteers and provide ongoing support and recognition.
Track volunteer hours, participation, and engagement.
On-Site Services Coordination
Coordinate and schedule on-site services provided by community partners, including workshops, presentations, and resource services.
Ensure services are aligned with participant needs and program priorities.
Serve as the primary point of contact for partner organizations providing services on site.
Maintain a calendar of services and ensure smooth implementation of scheduled activities.
Partner Engagement and Relationship Management
Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and service providers.
Identify opportunities to expand services and bring additional resources into the program.
Ensure partners understand program guidelines and expectations when providing services on site.
Program Integration and Support
Work closely with program staff to ensure volunteer activities and partner services are well-coordinated with daily operations.
Ensure volunteers and partners contribute to a safe, structured, and respectful environment.
Support program events, workshops, and community engagement initiatives as needed.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain records of volunteer participation, partner engagement, and services provided.
Track service delivery and support reporting on program activities.
Provide updates to leadership on volunteer engagement and partner services.
Compliance and Best Practices
Ensure volunteers and partners adhere to organizational policies, confidentiality standards, and program guidelines.
Support training and implementation of trauma-informed and participant-centered practices among volunteers and partners.
Complete functional timesheets by assigned due dates in compliance with time allocations.
Actively participate in reflective supervision sessions.
Create and maintain documentation of processes and procedures related to job duties.
Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
This position requires consistent on-site presence to coordinate volunteers and facilitate on-site services. The role may require occasional evenings or weekends to support volunteer activities, workshops, or community events.
Local travel may be required.

The pay scale for this role is $30 per hour (non-exempt).
