Your Impact: What You’ll Do
As a Vocational Counselor, you are the bridge between untapped talent and local businesses. On a daily basis, you will:
Unleash Potential: Identify individual strengths and interests to craft customized, person-centered employment plans.
Navigate the Journey: Lead clients through the full employment lifecycle—from resume building and interview prep to hands-on, on-the-job coaching.
Break Barriers: Advocate fiercely for reasonable accommodations and assistive technology to ensure an equitable, level playing field.
Build Bridges: Connect with local Remington employers to cultivate inclusive workplace cultures and diverse teams.
Champion Long-Term Success: Provide ongoing, dedicated support to ensure smooth workplace integration and future career advancement.
The Essentials (Requirements & Qualifications)
To be successful in this role, you must meet one of our educational/experience pathways, alongside our core technical and compliance standards:
Educational Track (Must meet one):
Bachelor’s Degree (Ideally in Early Childhood Education, General Education, or History & Arts) OR
Associate’s Degree + 1 year of relevant work experience OR
High School Diploma / GED + 2 years of relevant work/life experience.
Mandatory Experience & Skills:
Tutoring/Education: Minimum of 3 years of general education or tutoring experience.
Tech Proficiency: Highly comfortable working digitally with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and Asana.
Core Strengths: Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Mobility & Compliance:
A valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation with proper insurance coverage.
Willingness to undergo a standard drug screen and comprehensive background check (Federal, State, and County).
First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Completion of Relias Training/Online Virtual Training (completed on-site).
