We are hiring a VMC Milling Operator to support precision machining operations in a high-performance manufacturing environment. This is an entry-level, full-time role based in Coimbatore, ideal for candidates looking to build a career in CNC machining and production. The role focuses on operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMC), ensuring component quality, and maintaining efficient production processes. You will work closely with supervisors, quality teams, and production staff to deliver accurate and timely machining outputs while adhering to safety and operational standards.
This position offers hands-on exposure to machining practices, tooling, and production workflows, making it a strong foundation for individuals passionate about manufacturing and engineering.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
• Operate VMC machines to perform milling operations as per technical drawings and job specifications
• Load and unload raw materials and finished components onto machines safely and efficiently
• Understand basic engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances for accurate machining
• Monitor machining processes to ensure consistency, precision, and quality output
• Perform basic machine setup activities under supervision, including tool setting and alignment
• Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Identify and report any deviations, defects, or machine issues to the supervisor
• Maintain proper documentation of production activities, including job cards and inspection reports
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with safety and quality guidelines
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with workplace safety norms
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce errors
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines
