The Role
We are currently seeking a Visuals Planner to join our Avenue Road team. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed visual plans, CAD drawings, and 3D renderings that bring the Avenue Road vision to life across showrooms, client projects, and events. The role requires a strong eye for design, spatial planning, and the ability to translate creative concepts into polished visual presentations.
Responsibilities
Supporting Sales Executives and Clients by develop detailed floor plans, elevations, and space layouts using CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar).
Create photorealistic 3D renderings and visualizations to communicate design concepts to clients and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with the Owner to execute on specific creative direction, responding quickly to evolving ideas and feedback.
Translate conceptual sketches and verbal direction into polished technical drawings and visual presentations.
Assist in the planning and execution of showroom installations, product displays, and special events.
Work with FF&E specifications, furniture layouts, and product placement to optimize spatial design.
Maintain organized digital libraries of drawings, renderings, and project files.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure design intent is executed accurately.
Adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
Support additional visual planning needs across the Weishaupt Design Group portfolio as required.
Take direction and report updates directly to the Owner of the organization.
Competencies
Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to producing polished, high-quality work.
Strong organizational and project tracking skills with excellent work discipline to ensure nothing falls through the cracks; able to systematically capture, organize, and follow through on multiple requests and design iterations simultaneously.
Understanding of visual merchandising principles, including sight lines, focal points, vignette creation, and guiding customer flow through showroom environments.
Ability to take creative direction effectively, thriving in collaboration with a hands-on creative leader and adapting as ideas evolve.
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Ego-free collaboration, prioritizing teamwork and shared outcomes.
Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in interior design, space planning, or visual merchandising, preferably within luxury retail or hospitality environments.
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar platforms.
Strong experience with 3D modeling and rendering tools including V-Ray, Enscape, Lumion, 3ds Max, or similar.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Experience with FF&E specifications and furniture space planning.
A portfolio demonstrating CAD work, 3D renderings, and space planning projects is required.
Core hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility required for evening or weekend events and project deadlines as needed.
