You See the World Through Motion — Rhythm, Pacing, and How Stories Unfold
Do you enjoy taking ideas and turning them into videos that feel intentional, engaging, and clear? Do you care about how stories move, how moments land, and how edits shape meaning?
We are looking for a Video Storyteller to join our creative team, producing video and motion content that connects with audiences across brand, campaign, and social contexts.
This role is grounded in video and motion, but curious about how design, mixed media, and new tools (including AI) can push storytelling further.
The Plot Thickens: Job Description — Video Storyteller
You'll translate ideas into edits and animations, working with guidance from senior team members whilst building your confidence in narrative and pacing decisions. This means producing clean video work across multiple formats, collaborating with designers and writers, and using feedback to continuously strengthen your storytelling instincts. You'll own deadlines for assigned tasks whilst learning by observing how seniors approach creative decisions.
This is a role about growth with accountability. You're trusted to execute with intent, communicate proactively, and see work through to completion.
If this sounds like your story, keep reading.
Your Mission: Responsibilities Overview
Video Execution & Storytelling
Translate briefs into video and motion assets, applying pacing, rhythm, and sequencing to support storytelling.
Execute edits, motion graphics, and animations that demonstrate growing instincts for transitions and sound-on/sound-off narratives.
Use feedback and iteration to continuously improve clarity and impact.
Delivery & Collaboration
Own deadlines for assigned tasks, tracking progress and communicating early when support is needed.
Work closely with designers, writers, and account teams to develop content for campaigns and multi-channel projects.
Contribute ideas during creative discussions and learn from observing senior storytelling decisions.
See tasks through to completion, maintaining attention to detail across revisions.
Craft Development & Innovation
Build strong fundamentals in video editing and motion graphics, adapting execution across platforms with guidance.
Stay curious about design, mixed media, and emerging formats that can enhance storytelling.
Experiment with AI-assisted tools responsibly, understanding they support learning and ideation rather than replace craft.
Become familiar with Hoffman creative products and methodologies, asking for guidance when needed.
Attributes of the Protagonist (That's You)
You're someone who finds satisfaction in seeing how rhythm, transitions, and sound shape meaning. You bring technical proficiency and storytelling instinct to your work, understanding that great video is about how moments connect and build, not just clean edits.
You're at a stage where you execute reliably with guidance whilst building independence. You're eager to learn, open to feedback, and committed to seeing your work improve clearly through iteration. You communicate proactively, take responsibility for deadlines, and never hide uncertainty when you need support. Seniors trust you to follow through, and your curiosity shows up consistently in the work.
You Are:
Reliable and accountable, owning deadlines whilst communicating proactively about progress and blockers.
Open to feedback and eager to learn, applying revisions consistently and building confidence in narrative decisions.
Detail-oriented with growing storytelling instincts, producing work that's both technically strong and narratively intentional.
Curious beyond pure editing, exploring how design, mixed media, and AI tools can enhance your craft.
Collaborative across disciplines, contributing constructively to creative discussions with designers, writers, and account teams.
The Hero’s Background: Qualifications
2+ years of experience in video editing or motion graphics.
Proficiency with tools such as Premiere Pro and After Effects.
Experience producing video content for digital platforms.
Comfort collaborating in English with regional and global teams.
Familiarity with AI-assisted video tools is a plus.
Interest in design or mixed media storytelling is welcomed.
