Key Responsibilities
External Vendor and Workflow Management
• Manage the scheduling and output of external editing teams, ensuring resources are tracked across the department to anticipate pinch-points.
• Liaise with internal and external leads on upcoming work, workflow improvements, and performance standards.
• Ensure editing and content creation best practices are observed by external partners and review these processes regularly with the Head of Content Operations.
Technical Triage and Automation Support
• Triage workflow automation processes (utilising Python and FFmpeg). You are not expected to write code, but you must be comfortable using the Terminal/CLI to view logs.
• Diagnose and resolve encode failures, distinguishing between errors needing escalation to the Workflow Automation Manager and adjusting files for automation.
• Research and identify new software or workflow tweaks that may be beneficial in the pursuit of content creation and delivery.
Content Formatting and Social Strategy
• Lead editing and workflow best practices within DaVinci Resolve, advising on efficient and effective methods for editing and workflow within our deliverables.
• Oversee the reformatting of broadcast/long-form content for social media platforms, ensuring technical specs align with platform requirements (e.g., correct codecs/aspect ratios for Reels, TikTok, YouTube).
• Manage time of Uploader team delivering content via social CMS platforms (Facebook Business Manager, YouTube Studio).
Data Analysis and Infrastructure
• Utilise Asana to track operational data, identifying fail rates, error trends, and operational blockers.
• User management of media workflow applications, including set up of roles and permissions - adhering to company security policies.
