The Opportunity

We are looking for a high-impact VP of Sales to lead our national sales organization and take BHD to its next level of growth. This is not a caretaker role. We want a builder, someone who combines strategic vision with a hands-on, in-the-field leadership style, and who knows how to get the best out of a team while personally driving revenue at the highest level.

What You Will Do

Lead and Develop a High-Performance Sales Team You will recruit, coach, and mentor a national sales team, creating a culture of accountability, integrity, and execution. You set the standard, and you hold people to it. Top performers thrive here; you will build the environment that produces them.

Build and Execute National Sales Strategy You will develop and own comprehensive sales strategies that align with BHD's growth targets and market opportunities. From territory planning to pricing strategy, you will make the calls and deliver the results with the autonomy to do it your way.

Drive Revenue Growth and Market Expansion You are ultimately accountable for hitting ambitious revenue targets and expanding our presence across key markets including oil and gas, manufacturing, and utilities. You will identify where the biggest opportunities are, prioritize accordingly, and lead the charge.

Champion the Challenger Approach You and your team do not just sell products you teach customers something new about their operations, tailor solutions to their real problems, and consistently differentiate BHD from the competition. You instill this mindset across the entire sales organization.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally You will work closely with marketing, product, operations, and executive leadership to ensure sales strategy is aligned with the broader business and that the team has everything it needs to win.

Own the Data and Forecast You will leverage CRM data, KPIs, and market intelligence to keep strategy sharp and forecasting accurate. You make decisions based on what the numbers are telling you and you know when to trust your gut anyway.

Represent BHD at the Highest Level You will be a visible presence at key industry events, with top-tier clients, and in strategic partner conversations. You elevate the brand wherever you go.

Who You Are

• A proven sales leader with 10+ years of B2B sales experience, including at least 5 years leading a team, ideally in industrial, instrumentation, or technical sectors.
• Someone with a demonstrable track record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets, you come with numbers, not just stories.
• A Challenger at heart — you teach, tailor, and take control of the sales conversation, and you coach others to do the same.
• A natural talent developer who takes genuine pride in watching your team grow and advance.
• Analytically sharp — you use data to drive decisions without losing sight of the customer relationship.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced environments; you do not wait to be told what to do.
• Willing to travel nationally to support your team and maintain key client and partner relationships.
• A strong communicator with the executive presence to represent BHD at the highest levels.
