Role Overview

As Vice President for our business in Taiwan, you will lead the end-to-end strategy and execution for launching our third-party (3P) marketplace. You will oversee product development, build and lead high-performing teams across product and direct sales, manage marketplace operations, and drive revenue growth through best-in-class customer experiences. This role presents a rare opportunity to architect and scale a new business from the ground up, driving transformative impact on Coupang’s growth in Taiwan.

What You Will Do

• Build and lead high-performing teams across product and direct sales functions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, customer needs, and operational excellence

• Lead the end-to-end strategy and execution for Coupang’s 3P marketplace business in Taiwan. Define and implement processes for seller onboarding, category expansion, and operational excellence
Identify, recruit, and onboard sellers that align with Coupang’s customer-centric approach. Foster strong, long-term partnerships to drive sustainable growth

• Optimize marketplace performance through data-driven insights, ensuring the platform delivers high-quality service, competitive pricing, and exceptional customer experience

• Partner cross-functionally with product, operations, marketing, legal, and other teams to build scalable systems and processes that support growth. Collaborate to create seamless integrations between sellers and Coupang’s platform.

• Own and manage P&L for the 3P business in Taiwan. Define revenue targets, monitor key performance indicators, and implement strategies to drive growth
Ensure that 3P operations deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction, continuously improving the selection, pricing, and fulfillment experience for Taiwan-based customers

Basic Qualifications

• 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in e-commerce, marketplace management, distribution, or related fields, with a proven track record of growing 3P or similar businesses

• Experience in Taiwan’s e-commerce market, including knowledge of local seller ecosystems, retail, and regulatory landscape

• Familiarity with logistics and fulfillment processes in the context of third-party marketplace operations

• Proven ability to negotiate and build lasting partnerships with third-party sellers and stakeholders

• Strong leadership capabilities, including experience managing cross-functional teams and leading complex initiatives in fast-paced environments

• Demonstrated experience leading both product and direct sales teams

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive business decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience launching or scaling a 3P marketplace in a new market

• Prior P&L ownership in a high-growth, customer-facing business

• Fluency in Mandarin and English (written and verbal) is preferred but not required
