The Electronic Trading eFX, Global Markets team is hiring a senior, origination‑focused sales professional to join our Global Markets organization, with primary responsibility for originating and selling BMO’s digital payments platform, “Bravo”, including International Payments, FX execution, and rates‑based risk solutions embedded within client treasury and payments workflows.
This is a client‑facing, revenue‑generating role with direct accountability for new business origination, current client expansion, and platform adoption. The role requires regular U.S. travel and in‑person engagement with BMO new and existing clients, as well as close partnership with internal product, banking, and execution teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive revenue growth through the sale of digital FX, International Payments, and Rates platform solutions to a broad client base.
• Lead client engagements focused on payments modernization, cross-border flows, liquidity, and risk management workflows, leveraging BMO’s digital platforms.
• Act as a product ambassador, translating client feedback and market insights into actionable input for product strategy and roadmap prioritization.
• Track and analyze sales performance and coverage activity, maintaining disciplined opportunity pipelines across CRM tools.
• Build and maintain strong client and internal relationships through frequent in-person and virtual interactions.
• Partner closely with product, structuring, execution desks, bankers, legal, onboarding, credit, and risk teams to ensure seamless client delivery and compliance with internal and external policies.
• Align sales efforts with broader business strategies and digital transformation initiatives across Global Markets and Payments.
• Customize sales and marketing approaches to maximize efficiency, scalability, and client adoption of digital solutions.
• Develop and maintain client pitch materials and marketing content focused on FX, Payments, and Rates digital offerings.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and evolving client needs to guide both sales execution and product direction.
• Support strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects tied to platform growth and innovation.
• Consider risk, internal controls, and governance as part of day-to-day accountabilities.
Qualifications
• 5–7 years of sales experience with platforms, payments, commercial / correspondent banking or related fields with a post-secondary degree.
• Proven success in a product sales or solutions-oriented role within FX, Rates, Payments, or Treasury-related businesses.
• Experience marketing FX solutions, international payments, and/or rates products, with a strong appreciation for digital platforms and workflow-led solutions.
• Strong understanding of commercial core banking systems and experience of marketing solutions to regional banking clientele
• Ability to explain complex products and technologies to clients with varying levels of sophistication.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and consultative sales skills with a results-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and use of data to manage pipelines and measure performance.
• Solid understanding of global markets, pricing, and risk concepts across FX and Rates.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client initiatives and contribute to larger strategic programs.
• Strong understanding of regulatory, governance, and control frameworks relevant to markets and payments businesses.
Please note the base salary for this role is $260,000 USD.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
