Vice President, Business Management, Global Banking Asia

The Business Management role is within the first line of defense under the COO Office in Asia and contributes to the success of Santander Asia through a group of knowledgeable professionals that manage the branch operational process and monitor any risks or control, enabling the achievement of strategic objectives and supporting the Santander Asia corporate goals within agreed risk appetite constraints.
The incumbent requires a high-quality execution skills, attention to detail, project management skills, a continuous improvement mind-set, the ability to quickly adapt to new tasks and priorities with the ability to juggle project deliverables with day to day accountabilities and building effective partnerships across the organization.
The role has a strong focus on execution, detailed requirements analysis, revenue forecast and pipeline, budgeting process, and providing logistical support, including organizing planning sessions, agendas, and presentations and action tracking.
Key Responsibilities
• Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
• Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
• Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
• Performing requirements analysis, documenting and communicating the analysis.
• Gathering information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing reports.
• Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
• Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
• Assist in ad-hoc tasks as assigned
Basic Requirements
• University degree in finance or management related disciplines
• Minimum 8 years of experience in banking industry (or top tier consulting firms or accounting firms) and, preferably familiar with Debt financing products like project finance and syndicated loans.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Good self-motivation with ability to work independently, under pressure and with tight deadlines
• Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills with a strong sense of control and problem solving skills
• Good language skills in written English and Chinese (including spoken in Mandarin)
• Proficiency in PC knowledge including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong individual performer and good team player
