• Vibration Data Acquisition & Analysis
• Develop and implement vibration measurement methodologies for rotating and static equipment such as motors, pumps, turbines, and gearboxes.
• Configure and calibrate vibration sensors (accelerometers, MEMS, and piezoelectric) to ensure accurate data acquisition and reliable signal quality.
• Perform vibration spectrum and time-domain analysis to identify unbalance, misalignment, bearing wear, looseness, and resonance issues.
• Apply Full Spectrum Analysis to detect forward and backward whirl components, unbalance, misalignment, and fluid-induced instabilities in rotating machinery.
• Conduct Orbit and Centerline (CLD) Analysis to assess shaft dynamic behavior, journal bearing performance, and rotor stability during various operating conditions.
• Possess working knowledge of journal bearing analysis and eddy current sensor-based measurements for monitoring shaft position and bearing clearances.
• Signal Processing and Feature Extraction
• Apply signal processing techniques such as FFT, envelope detection, wavelet transforms, and cepstrum analysis.
• Extract relevant features for machine learning–based fault prediction models.
• Diagnostics and Root Cause Analysis
• Support diagnostic efforts for vibration-related issues in mechanical systems.
• Provide insights to improve asset reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Collaboration and Reporting
• Work with cross-functional teams (mechanical, data science, software, and IoT engineers) to enhance system accuracy.
• Document test procedures, results, and diagnostic algorithms.
• Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and customers.
