As part of our product strategy, we are excited to expand beyond the hypercasual and hybridcasual markets into the casual Match-3 space. Our mission is to release the next $1B Match 3 game, pioneering the next generation in this category.

Role

We are looking for a Senior / Lead VFX Artist to play a pivotal role in breathing new life into some of our biggest legacy games. As a key member of the Live team at Voodoo, you will help redefine and enhance the visual experience of our established hits, ensuring they captivate and engage players for years to come. You'll have the unique opportunity to shape and elevate VFX across multiple titles, working closely with cross-functional teams to craft stunning visual effects that resonate with millions of players worldwide.

• Design and implement a wide range of vibrant, eye-catching effects for our characters, weapons, power-ups, and all other sort of feedbacks both in-game and across UI.

• Aligned with the overall art direction to enhance the general game feel and deliver a visually polished gameplay experience.

• Work closely with the studio lead, designers, and 3D artists to ensure that VFX integrate seamlessly with characters, environments, and gameplay mechanics.

• From concept to in-engine integration, define best practices for effect creation, optimisation, and workflow, maintaining quality and performance standards.

• Stay on top of industry trends, new particle simulation techniques, trendy animations, and emerging tools to push the boundaries of what’s possible in mobile game VFX.

• Provide feedback and guidance to keep the visual style cohesive across all VFX elements, animation and contributing to the overall art bible.

Profile

• 5+ Years of Experience. Strong background as a VFX/Animation Artist in mobile games (preferably casual).

• Expert ability to create, modify, and optimise 2D/3D assets.

• Specialised with stylised effects. Knowledgable with 2D keyframe animation and motion graphic.

• Unity Expertise: Skilled in integrating artwork, optimising performance, and understanding relevant animation pipelines for mobile platforms.

• Comfortable with keyframe animation and in-engine setup to bring effects to life.

• Familiarity with shader creation and real-time effects to add extra polish and dynamism to the game.

• Strong communication skills to provide and receive feedback, and a collaborative mindset.
