The Veterinary Eye Center of Massachusetts, the first stand-alone practice for veterinary ophthalmology in the region, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician with anesthesia skills to join our talented team.

As a member of the ophthalmology team, in addition to traditional Vet Tech duties, you will be actively involved in:

• Client education

• Ophthalmic disease testing

• Performing pre-surgical diagnostics

• Post operative patient care

• Rounding with the doctors on cases using learned ophthalmology knowledge

• Leading appointments

Continuing Education:
We're serious about your growth and development. Licensed Techs are eligible for unlimited CE registration reimbursement, including conferences, advanced skills labs, online subscriptions, and even textbooks. You’ll also get 3 fully paid CE days every year to take full advantage of those opportunities without burning your PTO. Want to attend a conference across the country? Requirements:

• 2+ years’ experience as a Veterinary Technician

• Anesthesia Skills

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly communicate with clients as well as team members

• The ability to adapt while maintaining a positive attitude

• Highly evolved organizational skills with an acute attention to detail

• The ability to work independently, responsibly, and ethically

• A resourceful nature and creative problem-solving skills

• An openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning

• A commitment to the welfare of animals
