The Role

As a Vertex AI Engineer, you are passionate about experience innovation and eager to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You bring 4+ years of experience, a growth mindset and a drive to make a lasting impact.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform services for client projects

• Deploy and manage machine learning models using VertexAI platform across various industry verticals

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data processing for enterprise clients

• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and client stakeholders to productionize ML models

• Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness across client environments

• Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems for production deployments

• Maintain data warehouses and data lakes on GCP for multiple client engagements

• Ensure data security, governance, and compliance standards across different industry requirements

• Support pre-sales activities and client workshops with technical expertise

• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues in client production environments

• Document technical processes, maintain code repositories, and create knowledge transfer materials

Must have

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with Google Cloud VertexAI platform

• Experience with VertexAI model training, deployment, and management

• Knowledge of VertexAI Pipelines for ML workflow orchestration

• Familiarity with VertexAI Feature Store and Model Registry

• Experience with AutoML and custom model deployment on VertexAI

• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java

• Experience with SQL and database technologies

• Knowledge of data modeling and data warehouse concepts

• Understanding of machine learning lifecycle and MLOps practices

• Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments (preferred)

• Experience with version control systems (Git)

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with both technical and business stakeholders

Nice to have

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) certification (Professional Data Engineer, Associate Cloud Engineer, or Professional ML Engineer)

• 3+ years of overall data engineering experience

• Experience with additional GCP services: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions

• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager)

• Familiarity with Apache Spark, Apache Beam, or similar big data frameworks

• Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Data Studio)

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

• Experience with streaming data processing
