The Role

We are looking for a Vehicle Product Manager to own the strategy, definition, and lifecycle of ALSO’s commercial micromobility vehicle platforms.

This role combines product strategy, system-level product definition, and real-world validation, ensuring vehicles deliver strong product-market fit while meeting performance, cost, and operational requirements across diverse commercial use cases.

You will operate at the intersection of customer, engineering, and operations, owning both the what and how of the product.

Core Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

• Own product vision and multi-year roadmap across pedal quad variants

• Define target customer segments, use cases, and configurations

• Translate market and customer insights into clear product requirements

• Balance platform integrity with vertical-specific needs

• Drive prioritization across features, configurations, and derivatives

System Architecture & Product Definition

• Define vehicle-level requirements including:

• Battery / BMS

• Motor + controller

• Firmware / electronics

• Connectivity & telematics

• Rider / operator experience

• Own trade-offs between performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability

• Maintain configuration discipline and prevent unnecessary complexity

Variants & Commercial Use Cases

• Define variants across verticals (delivery, campus, retail, etc.)

• Develop structured configuration catalog (features, pricing, lead times)

• Ensure scalability of platform across use cases without fragmentation

Customer Collaboration & Validation

• Partner directly with fleet and commercial customers

• Conduct customer interviews, pilot evaluations, and field testing

• Translate operational insights into product improvements

• Validate product-market fit through real-world usage

Pilot Programs & Real-World Testing

• Design and execute pilot programs

• Define success metrics and KPIs (TCO, uptime, efficiency)

• Ensure pilot readiness (infrastructure, deployment conditions) in collaboration with operations + service team(s)

• Integrate learnings into product roadmap and requirements

Product Lifecycle & Continuous Improvement

• Monitor fleet performance and reliability metrics

• Analyze telemetry and field data to inform decisions

• Drive defect resolution, product improvements, and controlled updates

• Validate cost and performance assumptions against real-world data

Manufacturing & Supply Chain Interface

• Partner with engineering and supply chain on:

• Production readiness

• Supplier decisions

• SKD/CKD strategies globally

• Ensure product requirements align with manufacturing constraints

• Support cost optimization and quality targets

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Collaborate with:

• Engineering

• Program Management

• Commercial / GTM

• Operations & Service

• Clearly define priorities and decision rationale

• Balance competing stakeholder needs while maintaining product integrity
