We are seeking a detail-oriented Vehicle and Parts Facilitator to support our product development and engineering teams. This role involves a mix of hands-on vehicle preparation, part fitment analysis using CAD tools, and workshop operations management. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience navigating the automotive development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Engineering & Build Support: Assist engineering teams with vehicle preparation, including the installation, removal, and modification of parts.
• Fitment & Quality Checks: Conduct physical part fitment checks and provide detailed feedback on engineering issues.
• CAD Review: Utilize NX 3D CAD to review and verify parts against design specifications.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on development and fleet vehicles to ensure they meet safety and OEM standards.
• Workshop Operations: Coordinate vehicle scheduling, manage parts inventory/test components, and maintain an organized, safe workshop environment.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with testing, quality, and supplier partners to support prototype part handling and traceability.
• Education: Automotive mechanical/technical certificate or degree.
• Experience: * Essential: 2 to 5 years of experience in vehicle and parts management.
• Desirable: 5+ years of experience in automotive service, vehicle builds, or engineering support.
• Technical Skills:
• Intermediate proficiency in NX CAD.
• Strong mechanical skills for part installation and troubleshooting (mechanical, electrical, and system-level).
• Proper technical writing skills for vehicle documentation and reporting.
• Professional Skills: Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Travel: Ability to travel locally between facilities and to supplier visits as needed.
