We are delighted to announce a major new contract win with Welsh Water, supporting them over the next four years and beyond, delivering proactive and reactive maintenance of their Wastewater Network.
We’re expanding! Following a recent contract win, Lanes Group is recruiting Van Pack Operatives across North & Central Wales . This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team delivering industry‑leading drainage solutions while supporting one of our most exciting clients and contributing to AMP8 objectives.

About the Role
Salary: £12.71 - £13 per hour depending on experience
Working hours: 45 hours per week, with on call duties
Location: Kimnel Bay

As a Van Pack Operative, you’ll be at the heart of our operational delivery, supporting the maintenance and repair of wastewater networks. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Customer Interaction
Attending customer locations and communicating planned works
Answering questions and providing reassurance on site
Drainage Operations
Inspecting drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks or structural issues
Operating high‑pressure water jetting equipment to clear and clean drainage systems
Adjusting pressure levels based on blockage type (e.g., grease, debris, roots)
Assisting with CCTV surveys when required
Reporting all findings/data accurately back to operational teams
Data & Safety
Completing digital data entry using a laptop or tablet
Reporting safety issues in line with company procedures
Performing routine checks and maintenance of jetting equipment
This role involves outdoor work, problem-solving, and teamwork — perfect for someone who enjoys varied days and working in the field.
Experience & Qualifications
(Desirable but not essential unless stated)
