The Vaccine Assay Scientist will support vaccine programs by performing cell‑based potency assays, analytical characterization, and routine sample testing. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and within collaborative teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform tissue culture–based potency assays on live vaccine products, process intermediates, and experimental samples.
• Prepare cell culture media, buffers, and other laboratory solutions.
• Maintain multiple mammalian cell lines following aseptic and GMP practices.
• Author, review, and follow SOPs, assay methods, and scientific reports.
• Execute analytical assays such as ELISA and other cell‑based methods.
• Provide technical support for new and existing vaccine programs.
• Conduct routine sample testing to support ongoing product improvement initiatives.
• Participate in departmental and cross-functional project teams.
• Analyze vaccine products using a variety of analytical techniques and summarize findings for meetings and technical reviews.
• Document all work accurately, clearly, and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Communicate effectively with Eurofins and client team members.
Minimum Qualifications
• BS with 5+ years, MS with 3+ years, or PhD in biotechnology, biology, cell biology, virology, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with:• Cell culture and aseptic technique
• ELISA
• PCR
• Capillary Electrophoresis (CE)
• Western blot or Southern blot
• Cell biology and/or virology
• Strong bench skills, including accurate pipetting and familiarity with lab automation.
• Experience in independently designing, performing, and interpreting analytical assays.
• Excellent organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform method development and optimization.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Close attention to detail and commitment to quality.
This position is Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of West Point, PA are encouraged to apply.
