Sr. Accounting Manager

who must be a responsible and reliable professional to manage financial activities analytically and provide guidance to management. The position involves managing, coordinating, and controlling various economic-financial activities, such as invoicing, collections, audits, and more, ensuring compliance with established regulations, both nationally and internationally.

Qualifications:

Degree in Accounting with postgraduate studies in Accounting and/or Finance.

Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience in multinational companies.

Knowledge of national and international financial, accounting, and tax laws and regulations.

Proficiency in Financial Planning, Treasury and Accounting, Fund Management, Cash Flow, Tax Management, Budgeting Control/Reporting, and Finance.

Previous experience in team leadership.

Familiarity with ASC 842 / IFRS 1.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Sr. Community Manager

In this role, you will be responsible for building an engaged community around Open English and Open English Junior, spreading brand reach, and fostering interaction across a variety of social platforms.

Qualifications: 

 3+years of experience in social media marketing and community management. 

 Proven success in building engaged communities and fostering meaningful conversations.

Strong writing skills in both English and Spanish, with the ability to craft witty, attention-grabbing content. 

Familiarity with reporting, data analysis, and content performance metrics to inform strategy. 

Alovefor social media, emerging trends, and creative problem-solving.

Java Dev

Open English is looking for Java Developers to join our Product Team to implement new functionality and improve the current learning platform for the future.  You will work with the Product / Technology Team to develop and maintain cutting edge applications for our online learning platform.  As a Senior Java Developer, you will analyze, design, develop and integrate products according to stakeholder needs.  

Qualifications: 

8+ years professional experience developing and maintaining complex Java/J2EE web applications in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. (JDK 9 is required)

5+ years developing using Spring frameworks (Spring 5, SpringBoot) and Hibernate.

Experience in distributed multi-tier systems and client-server architectures is required.

Experience with Hibernate; Creating entities; Using annotations for mapping; defining a 

 Fluency in English Language

React Native Dev

As a Software Engineer at Open English, you will be creating and maintaining mobile applications using technologies such as React Native, Typescript, JavaScript and REST. 

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience developing apps with React Native.

4+ years of professional experience with JavaScript (ES5 and up).

Experience with testing tools.

Experience calling RESTFUL APIs.

English Fluency is required.

Working up to 2PM US EST is also required to have some hours overlapping with the team.

DevOps

More than 5 years of experience with solid knowledge in infrastructure and software development to our team. Preferably experience as a Site Reliability Engineer - SRE.

The DevOps Engineer is a key position who is in charge of building and maintaining the systems for our development teams. This position will develop tools which will spawn facilities for our infrastructure and everyday work. We are looking for a smart, talented and competitive sysadmin who has worked more than five years on a Linux environment and has no fear at the command line, preferably in an AWS environment.

Customer Engagement Analyst

As a Customer Engagement Analyst at Open English, you will play a key role in identifying meaningful improvements and implementing engagement strategies to the lead and student experience to drive better conversion and retention. 

Your primary objective will be to pull out engagement reports, review the data, provide recommendations and execute improvement plans. 

You will work closely with global teams across the business to implement strategies that boost customer experience.

Qualifications:

Soft Skills: Customer focus, time management, agility, creativity and attention to detail.

Hard Skills: Data analysis, customer journey mapping, technical skills, excel, powerpoint, english B2. 

Senior QA Analyst

The QA Analyst will be responsible for executing test cases and reporting defects into the Test Management tool. The QA Analyst should be able to understand the requirements and write test cases. The QA Analyst should be a software test professional with the primary focus of developing and maintaining test plans and test cases for all major applications, including functional, integration and regression testing. 

Qualifications:

5 plus years of working experience utilizing relevant testing methods, tools and techniques.

Proficiency in using tools, Test Management and Issue Tracking independently. An advanced knowledge of databases and performs simple queries.

Strong analytical skills; experience creating test cases, test scripts, and associated documentation.
