At Data Space Solutions, we are on a mission to enhance digital capabilities through seamless connectivity, empowering businesses and industries with secure, interoperable, and efficient digital solutions. As a BASF Group company, we bring trust, expertise, and deep industry knowledge in the automotive and chemical sectors. Our cutting-edge platforms, including CONXIFY and Path.Era, drive sustainable growth, transparency, and resilience across value chains.
Your tasks:
We’re looking for a UX/UI Designer who thrives in building thoughtful, intuitive experiences for products with technical complexity and deep AI integration. This role is ideal for someone who can design end-to-end user experiences across both web applications and web-based interfaces, turning complex workflows into clean and user-friendly designs.
You’ll play a key role in shaping a product where AI is not a feature, but a core part of the user experience.
• Design modern, user-centered interfaces for a technically complex product with strong AI-driven functionality
• Create UX/UI designs for web-based products, ensuring responsiveness and consistency across screen sizes
• Lead end-to-end design work: discovery → wireframes → prototypes → final UI
• Create interactive prototypes in Figma to validate flows and concepts quickly
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and AI/ML stakeholders to translate requirements into great experiences
• Define user journeys, information architecture, and interaction patterns for advanced workflows
• Contribute to (and evolve) a scalable design system and reusable UI components
• Support usability testing, gather feedback, and iterate based on insights
• Ensure designs meet usability, accessibility, and product quality standards
Your profile:
Must-have
• Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer (portfolio required)
• Strong proficiency in Figma (components, auto-layout, prototyping, design systems)
• Solid web design experience (responsive layouts, grid systems, UI patterns, usability best practices)
• Experience designing products with complex functionality (B2B, SaaS, platforms, data-driven tools, etc.)
• Ability to simplify complex concepts into intuitive workflows
• Strong visual design skills (layout, typography, spacing, consistency)
• Comfortable collaborating in cross-functional teams
Nice-to-have
• Experience designing products with AI integrations (LLMs, copilots, recommendations, automation, chat-based UX)
• Familiarity working with developers and understanding constraints (frontend components, APIs, data models)
• Experience with usability testing and iterative design practices
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS principles (helpful for smoother collaboration with engineering teams)
Why us?:
• Be part of an innovative, newly founded company that is shaping the future of digital ecosystems
• Work in a fast-growing, tech-driven environment within a globally trusted BASF Group company
• Opportunity to collaborate with top-tier clients in the automotive, chemical, and manufacturing industries
• A supportive, flexible, and inclusive workplace that values professional development
• 100% remote work within Germany (primary residence in Germany is mandatory)
• 25% of the Deutschlandticket will be sponsored in form of a jobticket
