UX Researcher (e-commerce)

Alabama Solutions is looking for a UX Researcher to join our business unit, HNDevs.

• Term Contractor Position
• Part-time
• Must be able to work US Eastern Time from 9 am to 1 pm
• Two Months Contract | Potentially extendable depending on our client's needs.
• E-commerce / Shopify experience is a must.
• English Fluency is a must, both oral and written.

You will collaborate with project managers, designers, developers, and stakeholders to uncover opportunities and deliver insights that enhance the online shopping experience. This role blends user testing, data analysis, and direct client interaction to align user needs with business goals. Requirements:
Responsibilities

• Analyze user behavior through data from Google Analytics and Shopify to understand site navigation and interaction.
• Define and monitor KPIs related to user engagement and buying behavior.
• Conduct journey mapping and funnel analysis to identify drop-offs and improve conversions.
• Use A/B testing to assess design variations and optimize performance.
• Translate findings into actionable insights and clearly communicate recommendations to clients.
• Develop research questions and test plans aligned with best practices in user research.
• Conduct usability tests, surveys, and interviews to uncover user needs and improve UX.

Requirements

• 4 to 7 years of proven success in UX research or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of user-centered design and design thinking methodologies.
• Proficient in quantitative data analysis, statistics, and data visualization.
• Experience with design experiments and testing iterative solutions.
• Skilled in building reports and using tools to extract user insights.
• Familiar with Google Analytics, Shopify, A/B testing tools, and other testing platforms.
• Able to manage multiple client projects in fast-paced settings.
• Capable of creating UX artifacts like wireframes, user flows, and prototypes.
• Background in Graphic or Interaction Design and experience with tools like Figma or Sketch is a plus.
• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive outcomes.
• Experience in client-facing roles focused on solving business problems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
