In short:

The User Experience department of Bosch is looking for a UX Designer/Engineer, who is experienced in creating fascinating customer & user experience for digital products.

The ideal candidate will be the go-to-person about interaction design. Together with the head of department, other designers and user researchers in the team, we are the driving force for customer & user centricity and innovation. We consult and make impact on a wide range of Bosch portfolio from mobility, industry, energy, consumer goods to other subsidiaries.

User Experience Department:

The User Experience department of Bosch, founded in 2010, with offices in Shanghai, Stuttgart, Detroit and Bangalore, is an in-house management-consulting agency of the Bosch Corporate to develop and support medium and long-term strategy, promoting customer & user centricity and innovation. We offer work in terms of project, product, training, event and networking.

We infuse the creative culture of a lean startup into a large corporation. We work in the fields of future mobility, artificial intelligence, sensing technology, smart life and more. No matter we are tackling a digital or a physical product, a service or a hybrid of the three, we always have one thing in mind: add value to the users’ lives.

Working with us you will:

• Make impact on business innovation, product definition and product development
• Design and develop digital products that embrace both creativity and feasibility
• You will work on both internal products, as well as products facing to external customers
• Design and develop either from 0 to 1, from 1 to 10 or from 10 to 100
• Make full usage of our established design system, with flexibility to explore undefined areas

Minimum competence: 

• 5+ years of experience in front-end development, technical UX design, or interactive prototyping
• Proven record on UX design and human-centered design principles and methodologies
• Rich experience in application development in multiple digital platforms (e.g. web, desktop, WeChat mini program, iOS, Android, QNX)… also across B2B and B2C products
• Outstanding communication skills
• Experienced in collaboration with other functions, including researcher, designer, product manager, operationals…

Preferred competence: 

• Experience with full-stack development, including modern not just front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or similar), also back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, or similar) and database/cloud platforms
• Hands-on experience implementing or prototyping with Generative AI technologies and LLM integration
• Experience with managing external development vendors or technical partners
• Ability to quickly become functional with new technology stacks
• Be used to complexity and ambiguity, with potential of entrepreneurship

Communication:

High proficiency in both Chinese and English
