Requirements Include: Must be 18 years of age, work requires knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. Level of knowledge equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency. No specific experience required. On the job training will be provided. In order to qualify for this position, you must pass a written civil service test and be in a selectable position. Valid Louisiana driver's license is required. Must be able to reach the job site within thirty minutes. The purpose of this position is to monitor and repair any water and gas leaks. Duties:
The purpose of this position is to monitor and repair any water and gas leaks. This is accomplished by finding leaks in water and gas lines; providing water and gas services for customers and businesses; repairing any damages to pipes; and repairing and installing fire hydrants. Other duties include responding to customer inquiries.
