The USAF E-7 program is seeking a dynamic USAF E-7 Safety and Mission Assurance Manager to lead the System Safety and Mission Assurance teams responsible for the USAF E-7 program at our site in Tukwila, WA.
This individual will be responsible for ensuring the safety and airworthiness of the program across entire life cycle, from conceptual development into design and test, production and sustainment of the fielded aircraft. This individual will demonstrate the attributes of a Boeing manager leading teams and motivating people to work together.
This position leads and manages a team of 11 employees at the Developmental Center site in Tukwila, WA.
Primary responsibilities:
• Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of System Safety and Mission Assurance
• Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals
• Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements
• Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
• Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
• Establish and evaluate personnel performance; coach, plan, organize individuals; and oversee process/project/program activities and accreditation standard
• Manage, develop and motivate employees
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 5+ years of experience in systems, mechanical, electrical and/or software engineering
• 1+ years of experience with commercial or military aircraft programs
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
• 5+ years of experience in systems and safety engineering
• 5+ years of experience leading teams
• Understanding of Airworthiness Requirements Compliance
• Experience with Commercial Derivative Aircraft Platforms and Systems
• Experience managing projects and associated project risks and be committed to balancing program risks
• Technical experience in system/unit requirements definition, implementation, validation, and verification, and in emerging technology and avionics/electrical/human engineering standards

Summary Pay Range: $151,300 - $204,700
