The Difference You Make:
The Sr. Specialist, Information Security develops and implements information security standards and procedures. Provides tactical information security advice and examining the ramifications of new technologies. Ensures that all information systems are functional and secure. Plans, implements, upgrades, or monitors security measures for the protection of computer networks and information. In addition, the incumbent ensures security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure. They may respond to computer security breaches and viruses.

• Promotes security awareness in the environment of everyday work via corporate newsletters, annual training, and other creative methods; provides support and guidance to employees with security concerns.
• Guides the development of information security policies, processes, and procedures, using security best practices, compliance requirements, and contractual obligations.
• Informs other team members of work status and coordinates division of tasks; may manage a project and/or junior employees.
• Identifies, assesses, measures and monitors information technology risk by performing independent hands-on risk assessments. Includes both in house systems and vendor based solutions covering Information Security, Business Continuity and compliance risk.
• Identifies and communicates recommended security and business continuity controls and control deficiencies for business units. Document and monitor the implementation of controls for technology and business project plans.
• Develops an overall risk management strategy for new or existing services with key business stakeholders.
• Maintains broad knowledge of best practices and trends in the field of Information Security and Business Continuity.
• Performs duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology Management, or equivalent field. - Required.

• 3+ Years Experience in information security, governance, IT audit, or risk management. - Required.

• Ability to interface with business and technical teams and key stakeholders.
• Prior automation and scripting experience using Python, Ruby, or similar.
• Security automation, logging, data aggregation and analysis experience.
• Strong general technology background.
• Strong understanding of PCI and compliance.
• Knowledge of firewalls and policies.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead by example.
• Ability to drive execution of aggressive goals through effective planning, prioritization, resource management and follow through.
• Demonstrated experience with information security frameworks.
• Ability to manage multiple, ongoing initiatives .
• Strong communications skills.
• Ability to foresee industry trends.
• Ability to maintain and implement best practices within field.
• High level understanding of Information Security threats and maintenance .
• Demonstrated understanding of technological trends and developments in the areas of information security, risk management, web architectures, and cloud computing.
• Demonstrated ability to frame security and risk-related concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Experience working with business process reengineering and IT solutioning; experience working on project teams bringing together both business & technology. Capable of explaining technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Proficiency in interpreting financial results and business data to identify opportunities and risks
.
• Demonstrated experience in handling cyber incidents and response in similar critical environments .
• Proficient in preparation of reports, dashboards and documentation .
• Advanced knowledge of network protocols and operating systems .
• Proficient with networking and operation tools (i.e. – Log management, Firewall management, SIEM, etc.…).

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

$63,750.00 USDMaximum:

$107,500.00 USD
