Position Purpose
The Free Stock Stager is responsible for preparing, staging, and supplying raw materials, ingredients, and packaging components to the production floor to ensure smooth, uninterrupted manufacturing operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining production efficiency and accuracy by verifying stock levels, organizing free stock inventory, and delivering the right materials at the right time. By keeping materials flowing effectively between warehouse and production, the Free Stock Stager supports Farmina Pet Foods’ commitment to safety, quality, and timely delivery of premium pet food
Requirements
Must be willing to work mandatory overtime, weekends and different shifts as needed.
Scheduled to work Monday through Friday 10 PM to 6 AM, however, the schedule may change based on company needs.
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Prior experience in warehouse, staging, or production support (preferred).
Ability to read and follow work orders, staging lists, and inventory documentation.
Forklift certification and experience required
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying environmental conditions (cold, hot, dry, or humid).
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Stage and deliver free stock materials (ingredients, packaging, and supplies) to designated production lines as required.
Accurately verify materials against work orders, batch tickets, or staging lists to ensure correct quantities and types are provided.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of free stock staging areas.
Communicate with production operators, warehouse, and supervisors to anticipate material needs and prevent downtime.
Record and track material movements in inventory or ERP systems.
Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of shortages, discrepancies, or quality concerns.
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment.
Follow all GMPs, food safety protocols, and workplace safety standards.
Assist in periodic inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
Support cross-functional warehouse or production tasks as directed.
