The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) is an award-winning, independent global non-profit research organization dedicated to designing and implementing policies that address the impacts of the global transportation sector on climate change and public health. The ICCT is looking for a summer Fuels Intern based in our San Francisco office. This internship provides an exciting opportunity to contribute your research and analytical skills to work that drives real-world impact and advances ICCT's goals. You will report to a Senior Researcher on the Fuels team.
You Will:
Conduct scientific literature reviews.
Conduct quantitative or qualitative analyses to support ongoing research- topics may include hydrogen and sustainable aviation fuel
Write internal memos on specific policy or technical topics.
Author or co-author ICCT publications, such as working papers.
Present your work to internal audiences.
You Have:
Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD degree in engineering, environmental science, environmental policy, energy and resources, or other relevant subject
Strong research, analysis, and written communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel
Proficiency in or R (preferred) or Python for data analysis
Demonstrated interest or experience in energy, transportation, climate change or related topics
Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and engage effectively with team members.
Our Benefits: This is a full-time (40 hours per week) internship opportunity that will be based in San Francisco office for 12 weeks and have an hourly rate starting at $24.00. Interns are eligible for a limited benefits package, which includes paid time off, internet subsidy, and other benefits. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
