This is not a typical veterinary position. This opportunity offers both strong immediate compensation and a direct financial stake in a practice positioned for corporate acquisition.
We are building a high-performance daytime emergency hospital in one of the fastest-growing suburbs of Houston. The practice has been independently valued at approximately $3M and is actively preparing for sale. Veterinarians who contribute to this growth will share directly in the financial upside.
This is an ownership-track opportunity designed for veterinarians who want to practice high-quality emergency medicine while building long-term wealth.
Compensation & Financial Opportunity
Base Salary: $150,000
Production Earnings: Up to $250,000+ annually
Cash at Practice Sale: Up to $100,000
Equity at Practice Sale: Up to $200,000
Estimated 5-Year Equity Growth: $500,000 – $800,000+
Potential total 5-year earnings: $1.2M – $1.5M+

Key Responsibilities
See all patients presenting during your shift (no exceptions without leadership approval)
Triage, stabilize, diagnose, and treat patients
Perform urgent and emergency soft tissue surgeries
Refer cases only after appropriate in-hospital workup
Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
Communicate effectively with clients in high-stress situations
Collaborate with team members and follow established workflows
Surgical Requirements
Soft tissue surgery
Emergency abdominal procedures (foreign bodies, GDV stabilization, splenic cases)
Pyometra surgery
Wound repair and laceration management
Mentorship is available, but candidates must be willing to perform surgery.
Professional Corporation Requirement
In accordance with Texas law, veterinary practices must operate under a Professional Corporation (PC) owned by a licensed veterinarian. The selected candidate will be required to hold the PC in their name.
Full legal and administrative support will be provided.
Ideal Candidate
DVM or equivalent veterinary degree
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Texas
Willing to hold the Professional Corporation (PC)
Experience in emergency, urgent care, or high-volume general practice
Strong surgical confidence
Ability to make independent clinical decisions
Motivated by both clinical excellence and financial growth
Schedule
Full-time rotating schedule: 4 shifts one week, 3 shifts the following week
Daytime hours only (no overnight shifts)
Shared weekend coverage
