Job Description
The Commercial Insurance Sales Support Officer provides end-to-end administrative and operational support across the company's Commercial Insurance portfolios. The role underpins the full commercial sales cycle, quoting, underwriting coordination, policy binding, renewals, endorsements, and partner management. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience within a commercial insurance back-office, brokerage support, underwriting support, or a similar administration role, with strong accuracy and operational discipline.
• Prepare, process, and quality-check all B2B commercial insurance documentation including quote requests, submission packs, underwriting requirements, policy schedules, COIs, endorsements, cancellations, and renewal paperwork.
• Assist BDEs with quote generation by gathering risk information, data validation, insurer/underwriter liaison, and ensuring all required documentation is complete before submission.
• Support the policy issuance process, ensuring accuracy in client information, pricing, coverage limits, and endorsements before binding.
• Coordinate with underwriting teams to follow up outstanding requirements, referral items, or risk clarifications.
• Manage renewals, lapses, and mid-term adjustments in line with internal timelines and partner expectations.
• Maintain complete and accurate client files, ensuring documentation meets commercial insurance regulatory and compliance standards.
• Update CRM records promptly (opportunities, stages, notes, partner activity, pipeline movements).
• Validate that partner agreements, onboarding documents, and disclosures align with compliance, quality, and audit requirements.
• Conduct routine compliance checks across sales documentation to ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory frameworks.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks across the sales support function and propose improvements for speed, accuracy, and partner experience.
• Provide ad-hoc administrative support to BDEs including data preparation, follow-ups, reconciliations, and document coordination.
• Uphold strict confidentiality and data integrity across all commercial insurance documentation.
• Perform other duties aligned with the level and scope of the role as required.
Requirements:
• 3–5 years experience in a commercial insurance support role (e.g., brokerage support, underwriting assistant, policy administration, commercial claims admin, or sales support).
• Strong understanding of the commercial insurance sales cycle (quoting, underwriting referrals, binding, renewals, endorsements, documentation frameworks).
• High proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot preferred) and advanced Excel capability (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation).
• Strong operational discipline with the ability to process high volumes of commercial documentation with accuracy.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to work cross-functionally across underwriting, compliance, finance, and sales teams.
• Proven ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced insurance environment.
• Professional presentation, strong client-service orientation, and a commitment to compliance, accuracy, and audit readiness.
