We are looking for a detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to support our Property & Casualty underwriting team. The ideal candidate will assist with the policy life cycle, risk assessment, and decision-making, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and providing exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Experience: 1+ year in Property & Casualty underwriting (or relevant qualifications)
Professional Qualifications: Completed or pursuing CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty
Underwriter) or equivalent preferred
Requirements:
Responsibilities
• Evaluate and analyze insurance applications to determine risk and provide recommendations for underwriting decisions.
• Utilize underwriting tools and systems to oversee each phase of the policy lifecycle.
• Assist senior underwriters with tasks related to policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, and claims.
• Ensure accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in all underwriting processes.
• Communicate with internal teams and external parties to collect information, clarify requirements, and facilitate efficient workflow.
• Compile and maintain documentation and reports for both internal use and regulatory compliance.
• Process applications promptly to meet deadlines and satisfy client expectations.
• Consistently provide outstanding customer service.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to comprehend and interpret complex information to fulfill job requirements.

• A proactive approach with a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
• Preferred professional certifications include CPCU, whether completed or in progress.
