A Day in the Life 

• The UME/GME Institutional Coordinator will serve as the central source of coordination for all Undergraduate Medical Education, Graduate Medical Education, and Advanced Practice Provider clinical education activities.
• Oversee the daily functioning of the department
• Serves as student coordinator for all non-MSU medical students
• Serves as student coordinator for all APP students
• Serves as a liaison with various Schools of Medicine, Schools of Nursing, Physician Assistant Programs
• Serves as a liaison with faculty and preceptors of medical and APP students and Residents

What’s Required  

• Bachelor’s degree and at least two years’ experience in an administrative or educational setting.

• Outstanding interpersonal, communication, telephone and organization skills, including the ability to effectively handle sensitive, confidential and high stress situations.  Demonstrates excellent grammar, spelling, formatting and proofreading skills.

• Computer competency required.   Must be competent in word processing, preferably Microsoft Office, Word.    Proficient in the use of e-mail and internet usage.  Must have the ability to rapidly learn additional computer skills.

• Demonstrate considerable initiative, ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
