WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Ultrasound Technologist, Full Time
Location: Onsite Villa Park
Days/Hours: Monday- Friday 9am-5:30pm
WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE:
Document patient's medical history prior to any examination
Sterilize and maintain ultrasound equipment
Gain patient cooperation by calming anxieties, providing explanation of imaging process and addressing any questions or concerns
Carefully position patients in order to obtain correct imaging
Responsibly ensure patient is comfortable and safe throughout their experience
Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies
Use sonographic skills to identify, record and adapt procedures
Document ultrasound services by accurately recording data in the patient's chart
Effectively communicate medical data, patient history and any related information to staff and appropriate physician
Provide education, training and direction to new technologists
Perform all job related functions as a Ultrasound Technologist, including all Ultrasound imaging procedures according to department standard in a timely and efficient manner
Perform all other duties as assigned
Frequent lifting/movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance without assistance
Must be able to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions

Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized
Technical, extensive knowledge and skilled expertise in ultrasound technology
Ability to integrate diagnostic sonograms, laboratory results, and medical histories to adapt sonographic examinations as necessary
Effective, composed communication to address patient's questions
Interpersonal skills, patient focused attitude with passion and sensitivity towards their care
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
ARDMS and/or RVT registered with prior clinical ultrasound experience
Proficiency running advanced Ultrasound studies independently
Experienced in Abdomen/Small Parts, OB/GYN, Vascular, Breast
CPR-BLS Certification
