Role overview
We are looking for hands-on Ubuntu desktop users to help refine multimodal datasets for AI training. This role involves replaying real computer tasks inside an Ubuntu environment, capturing accurate screenshots, and producing PyAutoGUI-style action annotations step-by-step.
This is not a coding or engineering role. It requires excellent computer usage skills, patience, and strong attention to detail.
Commitments Required: 6-8 hours per day with an overlap of 4 hours with PST.
Employment type: Contractor assignment (no medical/paid leave)
Duration of contract: 4 weeks
Location: Argentina,Mexico,Pakistan,South Africa,Brazil,India
Interview: take home assessment (setting up VM, and doing several tasks to imitate the project responsibilities)
Your Daily Responsibilities
• Navigate and explore operating systems (e.g., Windows or macOS) to complete guided tasks.
• Follow clear, step-by-step instructions provided by the team.
• Observe how the system behaves when tasks are performed.
• Record actions, results, and observations accurately in annotation tools.
• Flag unexpected behavior or issues using predefined guidelines.
• Maintain consistency and quality across repetitive tasks.
Requirements:
• Proficient with Ubuntu Desktop (file management, navigation, system settings, basic file paths).
• Hands-on experience with Chrome, VLC, LibreOffice (Writer/Calc/Impress), GIMP, Thunderbird, VS Code.
• Ability to accurately match screenshots to next-step actions and identify UI elements precisely.
• Comfortable writing simple JSON and clear screen-state descriptions with logical step-by-step reasoning.
• Detail-oriented, patient, consistent, and able to follow structured guidelines and repetitive GUI workflows.
