[UAE] Civil Engineer / Site Inspector (Abu Dhabi) M/F

Description of the Role

>    Responsible for the delivery of the quality structural engineering services to SOCOTEC clients.

>    Perform site inspections to ensure adherence to local regulations and compliance with project requirements.

>    Responsible for ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with relevant instructions

>    Comply with SOCOTEC’s group policies and procedures

>    Achieve and maintain the highest qualification levels determined by SOCOTEC for the relevant consultancy disciplines

 Main Tasks

 >      Proceed with the review of documents according to the level of checking designated by the Management and in line with the requirements of the Abu Dhabi Municipality

>      Ensure compliance with standards, best practice, codes, regulations, etc...

>      Elaborate and submit Site Inspection reports.

>      Ensure that all construction activities (specifically steel reinforcement placement) comply with approved designs, specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

The successful candidate has to prove his ability to match site conditions to approved drawings, and shall display knowledge of the Municipal e-Permitting System (MePS)

>      To comply with Socotec International and client quality, safety and environmental systems and procedures at all times.

>      Ensure that all accidents, incidents, near misses or hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is completed.

>      To work within the team to develop a culture where everyone embraces, upholds and accepts responsibility for a safe workplace, a healthy working life, a sustainable environment and the right and duty to intervene.

Minimum 10 years of verifiable experience in UAE is required (preferably in the Emirate of Abu Dhbai). This shall be verified through MOHRE. A valid Engineer's Card is to be presented. 

If the candidate possesses experience outside of the UAE, then it has to be attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to proceed with his candidacy.
