We have an exciting seasonal job opportunity for as Turf & Surf Camp Director! Camp staff will need to be in attendance for training May 26-29. Join a team dedicated to creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment for campers ages 10-14. Gear up for the best on-the-road biking camp around! As part of the camp team, you’ll spend your mornings leading campers on bike rides to local destinations for fun field trips and outdoor adventures. After lunch, you’ll bike with the group to the pool for an afternoon swim before returning for dismissal at 3 p.m.
WHAT YOU’LL DO: As Camp Director, camp counselors and program participants will look to you for the planning, supervision, and instruction of the daily operations of Turf & Surf camp, serving ages 10-14. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Planning out and leading routes to daily field trips from Mary E. Kies Recreation Center to field trip locations while keeping safety in mind.
Supervise and instruct camp participants.
Engage with children in various recreational and camp activities by developing & preparing games and crafts and setting up/taking down equipment.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
High school graduate or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years old by May 15, 2026
Must be able to provide own bike & bike helmet every day of camp
Must be able to bike up to 12 miles per day
WHEN YOU’LL WORK:
Attend camp training May 26 - May 29
Monday-Friday from 8:30am - 3:30pm from June 1 to August 7.
WHAT YOU’LL GET:
Starting pay is $19/hour
This position falls under Pay Grade B with a pay range of $16.00 -$38.50.
