Tunnel and Underground Structures Engineer.

We are currently recruiting for a Ground and Tunnelling Engineer to join our busy and expanding experienced team. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of Projects, either as standalone bridge commissions or as part of multidisciplinary major projects. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team. Here is what you will do:

Works as part of a ground and tunnelling engineering team with other engineers at the same functional level that can be from different EC offices (Poland, Spain, India..).
Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design
elements for engineering works.
Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.

Qualifications

Here's what we're looking for:

Proven track record of working on ground and tunneling engineering designs and collaborating with international and multi-cultural teams (+7 years) for Transportation and Water Projects.
Experience with international regulations and standards.
Proficiency in the use of specific ground engineering and tunnelling software as Geoestudio / Plaxis (2D/3D) / Rocscience. Others as SAP2000, STAAD Pro, etc. will be considered favorably.
Experience in the design of C&C tunnels and shafts
The candidate should be familiarized with retaining and ground improvement systems. Experience on tunnelling construction methods will be considered favorably.
Proven commitment with Quality Control Policy and Quality Management System.
Experience working in the North America region / Australia will be considered favorably.
Fluent in English (oral and written).

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised University
US and/or Australia Professional Engineer license will be considered favorably
