Training & Development Coordinator
Classification: Full time, Permanent
Salary: $40.5251- $46.0799 per hour

The Tŝilhqot’in Nation has always asserted its inherent right to self-government, including jurisdiction over its families and children. As part of this journey, Tŝilhqot’in Nidlin ("We are Tŝilhqot’in") was created to exercise jurisdiction and ensure culturally grounded family services across the Nation.
The Training & Development Coordinator leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Nation-wide training and workforce development initiatives across Tŝilhqot’in Nidlin and the communities. This role ensures training is aligned with Tŝilhqot’in Law, practice standards, and quality priorities, while strengthening consistent, culturally grounded service delivery across the Nation.
The Training & Development Coordinator will Lead the delivery of training sessions, workshops, and learning gatherings across Tŝilhqot’in communities and Nidlin teams and Collaborate with the Programs & Services teams to ensure training supports effective program implementation and community capacity-building. They will be responsible for evaluating training effectiveness and identifying emerging training needs within the Nation.
Qualifications
Post secondary education in a related field or equivalent education and experience
Minimum three (3) years’ experience in training, workforce development, or learning and development roles.
Demonstrated experience leading curriculum development and facilitating training initiatives.
Tŝilhqot’in language skills are a strong asset
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
Knowledge of Tsilhqot’in law, culture, language, governance and traditions
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent interpersonal skills
Working Conditions and Expectations
Must reside in, or be willing to move to, Tŝilhqot’in Nation territory (or Williams Lake area, BC)
Frequent travel within and outside Tŝilhqot’in Territory, including consistent visits to each of the six Tŝilhqot’in communities
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and additional hardware
Ability to lift up to 25lbs
Valid BC Driver’s License required
Clean criminal records check including vulnerable sector check
