The Opportunity: Due to exponential growth, we are investing heavily to build a WORLD-CLASS internal maintenance program from the ground up. We are looking for an innovative, results-driven Truck Upfitter to take ownership of this critical function. Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for performing skilled repair and maintenance work on our fleet of diesel trucks and specialized trailers to minimize unscheduled downtime and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) inspections and service on trucks, specialized trailers, and equipment.
Conduct diesel engine diagnostics to identify mechanical or electrical issues. (Note: We specialize in diagnostics and minor repairs; internal engine overhauls are outsourced).
Execute repair work related to brakes, suspensions, electrical systems, hydraulics, and general vehicle systems.
Complete detailed and accurate electronic work orders using the Fleetio maintenance software.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment, adhering to all DOT and OSHA safety guidelines.
Test and inspect vehicles after repair to ensure proper functionality and safe operation.
Utilize all tools of the trade, including diagnostic equipment, hydraulic lifts, air tools, and power tools, effectively and safely.
Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a maintenance role
Demonstrated experience in fleet maintenance.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Can perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
