Job Description
TreasuryONE is seeking a Treasury System Implementation Consultant to join its growing Treasury Technologies team.
This role is well suited to professionals with a minimum of two years’ experience in financial systems, ERP implementation, business analysis, or structured project delivery who are looking to develop specialist expertise in Treasury Management Systems (TMS) a scarce and highly transferable skill set within the South African market.
Many of our strongest consultants did not begin their careers in treasury. What they share is strong analytical capability, structured thinking, and the ability to deliver accurately in client-facing environments. We invest heavily in developing these foundations into high-quality treasury system implementation expertise.
Role Overview
You will work as part of project teams delivering Treasury Management System Implementations for corporate clients. The role spans the full delivery lifecycle, including client workshops, system configuration and testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live support.
You will gain hands-on experience on platforms such as IT2 and TreasuryXpress, with exposure to treasury operations, bank connectivity, and integrations with ERP and other financial systems.
The environment is fast-paced, structured, and client-facing, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, accountability, and delivery quality.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and test Treasury Management System modules, including cash management, forecasting, payments, FX, and risk
Translate business and technical requirements into structured system configuration and design steps
Support client workshops, UAT, and go-live activities with clear, methodical guidance
Track tasks against agreed project plans and provide accurate progress updates
Prepare configuration, testing, and handover documentation
Work closely with clients and internal specialists to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline
At least two years’ relevant experience in one or more of the following:
Financial or ERP system implementation (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage)
Business analysis, testing, or process design
FinTech, payments, bank integrations, or financial systems delivery
Treasury, corporate finance, or finance roles with strong systems exposure
Practical experience in system configuration, testing, data migration, or integrations
Comfortable operating in client-facing environments, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
Experience with IT2, TreasuryXpress, Kyriba, or similar platforms is advantageous, but not essential
This Role Will Suit You If You
Enjoy analytical, detail-oriented work
Are comfortable working within structured delivery frameworks
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues
Take ownership of tasks and follow through reliably
Want to build a specialist, in-demand consulting skill set, rather than remain in a generalist finance or systems role
