Role Overview
This is an entry-level role within the Treasury Operations team, designed to support daily operational and administrative processes under close supervision. The role focuses on accurate task execution, client service support, and developing foundational knowledge of treasury and financial services operations.
The successful candidate will follow established procedures, contribute to service delivery standards, and build capability in financial operations over time.
Core Responsibilities
Execute routine operational and administrative tasks in line with defined procedures and checklists
Support client service processes, including handling queries and assisting with service requests
Prepare and maintain basic reports, records, and documentation
Perform simple reconciliations and data checks with a high level of accuracy
Communicate with internal teams and clients in a clear and professional manner
Escalate non-routine issues to senior team members
Maintain adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards
Core Capabilities
Ability to follow structured processes and execute tasks accurately
Clear written and verbal communication skills (including professional email drafting)
Basic numerical proficiency and comfort working with data
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies
Organised and methodical approach to task management
Ability to work reliably within a supervised, process-driven environment
Basic computer literacy, including the ability to work with standard business software
Domain / Industry Exposure (Advantageous, Not Mandatory)
Exposure to financial services or client service environments
Basic understanding of financial operations or transaction processing
Introductory knowledge of treasury or financial market concepts
Tools & Platforms
Experience using standard office and productivity tools to manage documents, spreadsheets, and communication
Familiarity with systems used for reporting, reconciliation, or data capture is beneficial but not required
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum: Matric (Mathematics preferred)
Preferred: Diploma in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or related field
Experience:
Approximately 1–3 years of experience in a client service or administrative environment
Financial services exposure is advantageous but not essential
