Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is looking for a Trauma Coordinator to join our Emergency Department Team!
The Trauma Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the care of patients who have experienced traumatic injuries. This role involves collaboration with various healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care, compliance with trauma protocols, and effective communication among the trauma team. The Trauma Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and developing the program with a high level of independent decision making in collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
Major Job Duties & Responsibilities
Patient Management: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of trauma patients. Ensure trauma patients receive appropriate interventions in a timely manner.
Coordination of Care: Serve as a liaison between trauma patients, families, healthcare providers. Collaborate with emergency department staff, surgeons, and other specialists to facilitate care.
Quality Improvement: Participate in trauma performance improvement initiatives and data collection. Monitor patient outcomes and recommend improvements to protocols and procedures.
Education and Training: Provide education to staff and the community regarding trauma care and prevention. Train new staff on trauma protocols and best practices.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and national trauma regulations and standards. Prepare for and participate in trauma center verification processes.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation. Report and analyze trauma statistics and outcomes.

Some travel to CPC clinics in Montana may be required

Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in emergency or trauma nursing.
Educational Requirements
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required; advanced degrees (MSN, DNP) may be advantageous.
Certification in Trauma Nursing (TNCC) or equivalent required.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, based on the needs of the department.
