We are partnering with a well-established transportation engineering firm to identify a Transportation Civil Engineer (PE) to support and lead roadway and transportation design projects throughout Northern Kentucky.
This role is ideal for an early- to mid-career Professional Engineer who has prior experience working at a transportation-focused engineering firm and is eager to continue building technical depth, project ownership, and client exposure within a respected, long-standing organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Design roadways, highways, intersections, pedestrian facilities, and transportation systems
• Develop plans, models, and construction documents using MicroStation, InRoads, and/or OpenRoads
• Collaborate with planners, environmental specialists, and construction teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Support traffic engineering, civil site development, and transportation planning efforts
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, cost estimates, and client presentations
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and stakeholders to support project delivery
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations and design standards
• Contribute innovative, practical solutions that enhance safety, mobility, and sustainability
Requirements:
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 5–10+ years of experience in transportation engineering
• Prior experience working for an engineering firm specializing in transportation engineering, such as:
• Roadway design
• Airport design
• Traffic engineering
• Transportation planning
• Civil site development
•
• Proficiency with MicroStation, InRoads, and/or OpenRoads
• Strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a consulting engineering environment
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. — NO H-1B or visa sponsorship available
