Primary Function of Position:

Technical translator may create, evaluate, modify, translate and submit for approval into our ACCS system the different types of documentation used within or outside ISI, which directly affect our different processes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Translate documents from English into Spanish and vice versa as required, reading through original documentation and rewriting it in the target language, ensuring retention of the meaning of the source documentation.
• Provide Certificate of Translation for documents translated.
• Review current processes at the plant to gain experience for translation and to provide consistency on translations.
• Consult Subject matter experts (SMEs) for help on translations.
• Prioritizing work to meet deadlines.
• Participate in Line Transfers to translate documentation transferred into our MX facility, proposing measurable goals and keeping tracking of progress.
• Work closely with Engineers when modification of MPI’s is required to cover the translation of such changes and to submit changes for approval into our ACCS system and follow up with approvers.
• Work closely with Equipment Engineers for translation of Equipment reports, brochures, forms, routines or manuals.
• Help in interpretation of technical documentation.
• Help other departments on translation needs as well.
• Perform other duties as required.

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

• Certified translator from English to Spanish and vice versa (professional degree).
• ECO creator approved to submit translated documentation.
• Speak, read and write fluently in English and Spanish (demonstrable).
• Good communication skills.
• Project management abilities.
• Decision making abilities.
• Knowledge of Engineering terms (demonstrable).
• Demonstrate reading comprehension, understanding contents.
• Technology skills, use of computer and translation software.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
• 1 to 3 years of experience manufacturing processes and documentation.
