Role Mission:

• Coordinate cross functional review of CUBE methodology for machine translation software and post-editing

• Create score to objectively quantify machine translation quality for each language

• Use score to determine languages that require improvement and deliver projects for this

Key responsibilities

• Enhance CUBE methodology for machine translation software and post-editing

• Objectively quantify machine translation quality for each language

• Identify languages that require improvement and deliver projects for this

• Coordinate translation supplier relationships

• Use root cause analysis of translation errors to deliver systemic translation improvements

Skills required:

• 5 years’ experience managing machine translation on legislative content including languages in non-Latin alphabets

• Use of dictionaries and translation memories to optimise machine translation

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and spoken English (UK)

• Issue management with machine translation software provider

• Good knowledge of office applications including Word and Excel and ability to work with electronic research resources

• Ability to observe strict confidentiality

• Proven team skills

Desirable:

• Experience working in the Financial Services sector

• Additional languages
