About the role
We're seeking a skilled and passionate Lecturer to design and deliver our Transferable Skills course, freeing up capacity within our academic team while bringing fresh energy and expertise to students.
This is a casual, hands-on teaching role that combines in-person and online delivery. You'll be responsible for all aspects of course delivery including class preparation, teaching two sessions per week, and all associated marking and assessment. One session will be delivered on campus, with a second class taught online.
The role runs through to 17 July 2026, with the possibility of extension, we anticipate offering this course twice in Semester 2 and potentially again in September.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality lectures and supported collaborative learning sessions (SCLS) aligned with course learning outcomes
Facilitate student-centred, active learning using real-world and interdisciplinary contexts
Assess student work and provide timely, constructive feedback including on reflective and portfolio-based assessments
Support students to develop transferable skills applicable across their programmes and into industry
Contribute to course development and continuous improvement
Collaborate with Programme Heads and academic teams to ensure integration of transferable skills across curricula
What you will bring:
Relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience
Strong teaching and facilitation skills in higher education or adult learning environments
Ability to translate complex concepts into accessible, practical learning experiences
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with diverse learners and inclusive teaching practices
Experience teaching and facilitating online learning
