SUMMARY:
This intern will perform various activities to support PIIC’s learning management system, such as object and report creation, completion tracking, and various other tasks. They will be supporting internal and external human resources communications pertaining to training, employee events, orientation, and other employee engagement activities.
In addition, this intern will have opportunities to consult with subject matter experts as they work together to refine and revise training resources. Some activities will be data entry-focused, so attention to detail is key. PIIC also hosts in-person training events, and this intern will assist with various hosting responsibilities. This internship is available for 26 weeks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities are not meant to be all inclusive and may be adjusted to meet business needs.
Intern will perform various functions in PIIC’s learning management system including supporting object creation, assignments, completion tracking, reporting, and more
Intern will work with hiring managers and SMEs to refine and revise training resources
Intern will participate in various set-up, preparation, and hosting responsibilities for in-person training sessions
Intern will ensure communications about training and events are communicated through SharePoint, emails, or letters.

MINUMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED.
An interest in training and development.
A desire to learn about and support training and development actions
An aptitude for computer systems – the person must be “tech-savvy” as many of their responsibilities will be in our Learning Management System (LMS).
Detail oriented and able to follow directions with many complex steps
Ability and desire to connect and communicate with others in person, in writing, and through virtual platforms
Experience with Office 365 applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working with an LMS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:*
Position requires repetitive use of fingers, hands, wrist in job related duties, i.e. telephone, computer. Complete range of motion, including fine motor skills and tactile sense of both hands.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time with occasional amounts of standing or walking
Must be able to walk, stand or sit for long periods throughout the day
Must be able to stand or walk up to ten hours per day regularly
Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
Must be able to bend and crouch frequently
REQUIRED TRAINING:
Harassment training

Any position-related training as determined by department manager
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed primarily in an office setting, but may include occasional outdoor activities
