Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Systems:
• Diagnose and troubleshoot trailer electrical systems
• Install and repair lighting systems, including wiring and brackets
• Replace and wire breakaway kits and junction boxes
• Install tarp kits, wireless remote systems, vents, E-tracks, and spare tire mounts
Structural & Fabrication:
• Replace steel decking, plywood, and install rubber flooring
• Weld and replace trailer jacks
• Fabricate and weld components including D-rings, toolboxes, hinges, safety chains,
fenders, winch plates, and more
• Install A-frame toolboxes and couplers
Suspension & Axles:
• Inspect, service, and replace suspension systems
• Replace air ride valves, air compressors, axles, brakes, drums, magnets, seals, and
bearings
• Perform bearing repacks and axle oil changes
Hydraulic Systems:
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic issues
• Replace hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves, and hoses
Qualifications:
Required:
• 2–4 years of experience in trailer repair, fabrication, or a related mechanical trade
• Proficiency in MIG welding and fabrication techniques
• Strong diagnostic skills in electrical and hydraulic systems
• Working knowledge of suspension, brake, and axle systems
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical drawings
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safe shop practices
• Ability to lift up to 150 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions (standing,
kneeling, bending, etc.)
Preferred:
• Welding certification (preferred but not required)
• Valid driver’s license
• Forklift operation experience
Work Environment:
• Primarily shop-based with occasional outdoor work
• Must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions and environments
Schedule:
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Saturday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (as needed)
