We are seeking a Road Strategy Specialist to join our organization in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will develop and implement comprehensive road safety strategies that reduce traffic incidents and enhance public safety across our region. You will work collaboratively with government agencies, transportation authorities, and community stakeholders to create data-driven safety initiatives and policies that make a measurable impact on road safety outcomes.
• Conduct traffic impact studies and safety audits for new and existing road infrastructure projects
• Analyze traffic flow patterns and develop solutions to optimize traffic movement and reduce congestion
• Design and implement road safety measures, including signage, markings, and traffic calming devices
• Utilize traffic simulation software to model and evaluate proposed transportation improvements
• Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate traffic and safety considerations into development projects
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on traffic studies, safety assessments, and recommended improvements
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented traffic management and safety measures
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in traffic engineering and road safety
• Ensure compliance with local and international traffic regulations and standards
• Participate in public meetings and stakeholder consultations to address traffic and safety concerns
• Proven experience developing and implementing Traffic and road safety strategies and programs
• 10 years Minimum experience, preferred exp in the same field.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation of traffic safety metrics
• Knowledge of road safety engineering principles and best practices
• Experience with traffic management systems and safety compliance frameworks
• Excellent project management capabilities with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proficiency in policy development and regulatory compliance
• Familiarity with accident investigation and prevention methodologies
• Experience with GIS or traffic modeling software (preferred)
• Knowledge of Saudi traffic regulations and regional road safety context (preferred)
• Experience working in the Middle East or similar regions (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational and time management skills
