• Prepare accurate and compliant traffic management drawings and documentation using RapidPlan, myTTM, and other industry-standard tools.

• Ensure plans prioritise the safety of road users, workers, and the public while minimising disruption.
• Prepare supporting documentation, including site notes, approvals, and other related materials.
• Integrate input from civil works, tree services, and other operational divisions into traffic management plans.
• Handle a high-volume workload of approximately 15–20 TMP applications per week, balancing small and large projects.
• Apply internal risk profiling and risk assessment processes, adapting to updated frameworks as required.
• Participate in training and onboarding for new systems, workflows, and evolving NZGTTM compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams, supervisors, and clients to clarify requirements and resolve design or compliance queries.
• Maintain consistency and quality across all submitted designs to support approvals by authorities, contractors, and clients.
• Submit TMPs via relevant council and authority portals, including MyWorkSites where applicable.
• Track submissions, manage revisions, and respond to feedback, RFIs, and resubmission requirements.
• Contribute to improving design processes and efficiency, including template development and workflow improvements.
• Apply a strong working knowledge of NZTA CoPTTM, NZGTTM, local authority traffic management requirements, and safety regulations.
• Ensure all plans comply with current New Zealand traffic management legislation and operational standards.
• Stay updated on changes in traffic management laws, practices, systems, and technologies.
• Support and liaise with the internal design team to manage workload and improve turnaround times.
• Work alongside supervisors and field staff to ensure designs are practical, safe, and implementable on site.
• Provide guidance to trainees or junior staff on design and compliance matters.
• Assist with stakeholder communication, including submitting TMPs for approval and responding to council, contractor, and client feedback.
• Perform other role-specific duties as required.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Design, Traffic/Transport Planning, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in traffic management planning within New Zealand.
• Proficiency in RapidPlan (essential); experience with other design or measurement tools is an advantage.
• Experience with digital workflows and planning platforms; experience with bespoke systems such as myTTM highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of NZTA CoPTTM, NZGTTM, local government standards, and practical TMP application.
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume design workloads (15–20+ applications per week).
• Experience with council and authority submission systems, including MyWorkSites or similar portals.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment and risk profiling in traffic management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation, stakeholder engagement, and submissions.
• Strong attention to detail, balancing compliance, safety, and operational efficiency.
