SUMMARY:
The Trading Department consistently strives for operational excellence through the efficient and accurate execution of all trade-related activities. The primary responsibility of the Trading Specialist is ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all assigned client trading activities. The Trading Specialist coordinates within the Trading Team to ensure the timely resolution of excess cash, cash needs, outside of model tolerance, and tax-loss harvest activities. The role may also research and resolve trade adjustment requests, complete daily trade reconciliation, and assist with integration-related projects.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with hybrid work options from the following office location: Folsom, California. The hourly range for this position is $31.25- $33.65/hour. This position is eligible for overtime.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Accurate and timely execution of trades submitted to the CRM trading queue
• Next business day validation of previous day’s trading activity
• Processing variable annuity sub-account and mutual fund direct business trades
• Team participation, ensuring the rapid resolution of excess cash, cash needs, outside model tolerance, tax-loss harvest, and daily trade reconciliation activities
• Complete and document trade adjustments as requested
• Preparing assigned advisor-client review meeting reports
• Performing advisor-requested research as needed
• Assist with integrating future partner trading activities
• Consistently demonstrate outstanding quality and accuracy of work – leads by example
• Identifying process improvements and partnering with leaders to implement changes
• Consistently demonstrating Allworth’s guiding principles
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Some experience trading in an RIA setting
• Experience in block trade and allocation processing
• Thorough understanding of trade execution and settlement processes and policies
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
• Thorough knowledge of RIA systems
• Passion for operational efficiency and accuracy
• Minimum 5 years experience in the investment securities industry
• Knowledge of advisory rebalancing systems
• Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently while meeting established deadlines
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills for working in a team environment
• Ability to handle large transactions, heavy trade volumes, significant time pressures, and deadlines in the placement and execution of trades with minimal errors
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
• Strict attention to detail with high-quality results
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work daily
• Approachable to all staff
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
